Datamine Task Scheduler

Your application forges a strong link with Datamine Task Scheduler (DTS), allowing you to schedule your blocks in your application, or in a combination of both.

This topic covers the functionality available in your application to allow a controlled export of an existing schedule that can be further refined or simply viewed in DTS.

A connection to DTS allows you to:

Connect your sequenced 3D wireframe design data (for example, as sequenced using Studio UG) with your generated schedule and visualise 3D window design segments and how they relate to individual activities. Data selection can be performed in both your application and the standalone application, dynamically updating the other window to show the results of your single or multiple item selection.
Generate and play back a schedule animation based on the contents of your current schedule document.
Filter your data display automatically in your application, using DTS schedule task filtering commands.
Show DTS crosstab data in your application, dynamically linked to your loaded 3D data and schedule.
Establish and or modify dependencies between selected tasks using interactive 3D data selection and other ribbon functions. Activity links are fully configurable without having to leave the 3D environment.

Before You Start

There are a few things you need to put in place before you can start to make use of your DTS link:

An existing DTS schedule must be generated from your current data set. This means you will have completed your mine design up to and including setting dependencies and sequencing.
The sequenced data (for example, sequenced wireframes representing underground workings and stope development) must be displayed in your application.
DTS should be running on the local system.
You have arranged your viewing windows to accommodate both applications – dual monitors are an ideal setup for this task.
